Innocence

A new year has started.
The old year has passed.
For some a relief,
for others a sad sight.

The new year full of promises.
The old year's promises fulfilled.
Or did those resolutions give you a hangover,
just like one from all of that champagne.

But that won't stop us from taking the new year head first.
Take all those chances we get with both hands.
Because this year is still a virgin, free of guilt, remorse and sorrow.
It still has it's innocence.
