Move

Boxes far and boxes near.
Some to take with, others to disappear.
What can go and what can stay,
A decision I'll make another day.

Leaving here is very hard and tough,
But in this case enough is just enough.
Sure I'm sorry and I'm sad that I'm going,
I'm making a new start, that's something worth knowing.

A fresh start elsewhere, for me all alone.
A home, a shelter, a place to call my own.
First it'll be weird, the first nights that I'm there.
All the strange new sound may be more than I can bare.

It's something to get used to, something to endure.
I'll eventually call it home, of that I'm very sure.
I have high hopes for all the things that will improve.
But it's still a sad thought that I really have to move.

High Hopes

You look forward to it, you know it's possible.
The preparations were optimal, everything worked out to the finest detail.
As the moment draws near the adrenaline rises.
You can barely keep your nerves under control, but you manage.
This is what you have lived for, the moment of truth just seconds away.
It's almost too much to bare, but nothing can keep you away from this, the ultimate goal.
Gold!

Reasons

It's something you can't explain, it just is.
You feel you need to do it and nobody can tell you otherwise.
The urge is so strong, it is almost like an addiction.
Yet it is something you can go without if you simply can't find the time.
If somebody would ask you why, you wouldn't be able to answer.
Why does this urge, this drive, this feeling need explaining anyway?
People are always looking for reasons, even if there are none.
Somethings just are.

So Close, But Yet So Far

It's so close you can almost reach it.
That one time your lucky numbers won the lottery,
you just didn't buy a ticket 'cause you forgot.
That time you responded to an ad in the newspaper,
only to find out someone else has beaten you to the punch seconds earlier.
Or when you are in a great scoring position when the clock runs out on you.

Those are the most frustrating moments live can throw at you.
But not to worry, things will eventually fall your way.

OMGWITHTM!

We've all been there, that awkward moment.
The embarrassing situation.
The moment you wished you didn't exist.
That "O my god, why is this happening to me!" moment.

Well it's never funny when you're the one living it.
You keep looking for that hole in the floor to disappear in.
Or the aliens landing, taking all the eyes off of you.
But sometimes standing next to someone living that moment,
sometimes it can be the funniest thing you'll ever see.

28 Days

28 days, that's 2419200 seconds.
28 days, that's 40320 minutes.
28 days, that's 672 hours.
28 days, that's 4 weeks.
28 days, that's February.

The odd one out.
The runt of the litter.
The one that confuses the hell out of everyone once every four years.
The one with the Winter Olympics.

Life Sucks Anyway!

Sometimes life gives you lemons.
It sucks but it happens.
And like they say, you can always make lemonade.

Bad things happen in life, there's just no way around it.
It's not how bad those things really are, but how you deal with it what makes them bad.
People fall ill, you get fired, You'll wreck your car or get a huge bill.
Sitting in a corner and crying never helped anyone.
I'm not saying you shouldn't cry, I'm just saying that just being sad isn't the answer.

For every bad thing that happens other good things will also happen.
You sometimes have to look for them but they're there.
When someone close to you falls ill, take the opportunity to get to know that person.
In those short intense moments you'll get to know more than in a lifetime.
When you lose your job, it will give you the time to pursue other interests.
Wreck your car but be glad your still in one piece.
And that huge bill might not look so great when you have to pay it, but there was something you got for it in return. Just remember that.

And yes to all of you people who can't find a positive side to it all,
when you're going to die just think... Life sucks anyway!
